BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Aaron Paul is well known for playing Jesse Pinkman in the hit show Breaking Bad. He announced in September that he will be doing a special screening of "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" in Idaho Oct. 8.
Then a Scavenger hunt was announced Tuesday, the same day as the screening.
" I strongly suggest anyone who wants to partake to meet at the capital sometime around 3 and wait to hear from me," Paul wrote in a tweet.
First fans waited at the Capitol until Paul tweeted informing people to find someone with a bag of Funyuns.
Eight minutes later, he tweeted again, "Corner of miller and 11th. Hidden under the yellow parking stops. Many tickets. Good luck!"
At 3:49 p.m. Paul tweeted again, giving the location of "a bunch of tickets."
The Safari Inn is only a few blocks from the second location.
Five minutes after that he tweeted a picture of a statue in front of the Capitol.
More clues came, in one after the next.
More were handed out at Freak Alley where Paul's face was displayed.
And then, "Who likes parks?? I will be on the bridge that connects BSU and Ann Morrison Park for the next 5 minutes handing out tickets."
This guy must be a runner... Tweets came in from all over downtown Boise within minutes of each other.
At this point, Paul had about 150 tickets left...
He followed this up by heading to the entrance of Strange Love.
In the middle of the hunt, Boise Police took notice and tweeted, "We understand that there is a big scavenger hunt going on downtown right now. While we want everyone to have fun, we also want everyone to be safe and obey all traffic and pedestrian laws."
He later went to Rediscovered Books on 8th, back to Freak Alley, 8th and Idaho, 8th street escalators, The Funky Taco, 6th and State, 6th and Idaho, and finally in the bell on Idaho and Capitol.
Crowds grew large enough for Boise Police to step in and direct traffic and pedestrians.
Paul was born in Emmett, Idaho and also went to Centennial High School in Boise, according to his IMDB page.
He has about 2.7 million followers on twitter.
The screening will be held at the Egyptian Theatre.
