Dansen Aragan scored 15 points to lead the Maui High School boys basketball team to a 57-52 victory over King Kekaulike in the 4/5 play-in game of the Central Pacific Bank/Maui Interscholastic League Division I tournament Saturday afternoon at Na Alii’s gym in Pukalani.
Aragan hit three 3-pointers, and Isacc Domingo added 10 points while going 7 of 7 from the free-throw line for the fifth-seeded Sabers (4-9).
Jordan Babcock and Keanu Kanekoa each made three 3s and finished with 19 and 13 points, respectively, for fourth-seeded Na Alii, who end the season at 4-9.
Maui High advances to face top-seeded Baldwin (10-2) in the tournament semifinals today at 5:30 p.m. at Lahainaluna. The third-seeded Lunas (5-7) then take on No. 2 seed Kamehameha Maui (8-4) at 7 p.m.
The tournament final is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday.
