DJ Rell Ruger is an American hip-hop/rap music producer and CEO of Wire City Music Group. He’s Known for his ‘Cakemix’ mixtape series. Rell has produced for the late rapper Stack Bundles and for G-unit South. He’s also worked with current recording artists such as Pusha T, Dave East, Don Q and DJ Luke Nasty among others. Rell was born Anthony Terrell Alexander on June 26, 1979, in Baltimore, Maryland.

CAREER
Rell got his start in the early 90s as a local Dj and selling mixtapes. He was one of the first from his school to buy their own professional Dj and studio equipment. He was only 16 at the time. Rell eventually expanded to music production. He would regularly drive from Baltimore to New York City to shop his beats. His determination led to him recording with Jim Jones’ artist Stack Bundles. Tragedy struck in June 2007, when rapper Stack Bundles was shot and killed outside his home in Queens, New York.

After a long hiatus, Rell returned to the music scene working with many of today’s top hip hop artists. In 2017, he produced “Made It Worse” for Dave East, “Oh You Da Plug” for Don Q, and “Exit 26” for DJ Luke Nasty. Rell is the CEO of the publishing company Wire City Music Group. The platform allows him to collaborate with artists and songwriters on various projects and TV scores. DJ Rell Ruger has thousands of subscribers on YouTube and more than 2.5 million views. He also shares his music/beats via SoundCloud, Instagram, and Twitter.
